Kintambo: the organization of a community for its health

"When it rains, I stand at the entrance of my house, I stand guard on the street ... because when it rains, some take the opportunity to come and deposit their rubbish in the gutter, and after, the gutter is clogged and it overflows with grime and all. But when they see me, they are afraid and they can no longer throw their rubbish here. "

This resident of Kintambo, a town in the heart of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is part of the think tank that has just been created in her district of Wenze. Nurse in a local health center, she decided to join this group - like fifteen other people, student, saleswoman, professor, pastor, driver-mechanic, etc. - in order to participate actively, as a resident, in the future of their neighborhood and to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions and well-being of its population.
